Melissa, now possessed by the demon 'snake', recruits the unsuspecting members of the Circle to help her find her family's Book of Shadows. What they find, however, is a suitcase filled with more demons. Cassie calls on her grandmother for help, and they are successful in drawing out the demon from Melissa, but it enters Nick instead. The demon (Abaddon) approaches Dawn, seeking to use her body instead, but she is rescued by Charles. Dawn and Charles decide to drown Nick in order to kill Abbadon, and they succeed, but end up killing Nick as well. When his body is found, the Circle members assume he did it to himself, while elsewhere, Charles and Dawn convince themselves that they did the right thing.
